We’ve always believed great parks are at the hearts of great communities. So, when Mamma Knows West visited the new park at Westwood Place in Fraser Rise, we were thrilled to read what they had to say. Mamma Knows West is one of Melbourne’s most trusted names for park and playground reviews. Their verdict? “This one is a goodie!”
A new favourite for families
For families across Melbourne’s north-western growth corridor, Mamma Knows West is the go-to guide for honest insights and tips on where to play, explore and spend the day. Their review calls Westwood Place Park “a huge new play space” with “climbing, sliding, swinging and plenty of room to run around.” They say it’s “definitely one to add to your Fraser Rise playground hit list.”
It’s a wonderful recognition of all the work that goes on behind the scenes, and we’re so proud to have created a space where children of all ages can explore and neighbours can come together. What’s inside the park? The park is on Banjo Boulevard, and it has loads to keep little adventurers busy:
- A giant play tower with a big and small slide, rock-climbing walls and ropes
- A large rope climbing structure
- Basket and regular swings
- A sandpit with its own cubby house
- A half basketball court
- Nature-inspired details to discover, including giant turtle features and butterfly engravings on the rocks
There’s also BBQ facilities, park benches, shaded areas, a water fountain and plenty of parking for grown-ups too. It’s easy to pack a picnic and settle in for a few hours.
